Types of Window Screens:

How to measure out a single hung window

How to measure a double hung window

Measure the width – Measure from the innermost part of 1 stop to the innermost part of the stop on the opposite side. In instance your window isn't perfectly square, take 2 measurements – i at the bottom of the window and some other in the middle.
Adjust the width measurement – Subtract ¼" from the smaller of the ii measurements.
